The Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida was the recipient of a $30,000 donation to newly established “Jenn’s Kids Fund”. The new fund will provide for updates, fresh paint and a more aesthetically pleasing General Pediatrics Wing at the Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.

Women’s & Children’s Services, The Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida; Sharon MacDonald, Chief Foundation Officer; Jennifer Likness; and Heather Knight.
The fund was established by Jennifer Likness, who at the age of 27, suffers with cystic fibrosis. As cystic fibrosis is treated primarily as a pediatric disease, Jennifer has called The Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida home several times a year for two-four weeks a year since 1995. Likness has often hoped for a refurbishment of the General Pediatrics Wing so that children of all ages will have the best possible hospital environment.
The new “Jenn’s Kids Fund” will provide immediate resources for the top priorities of refurbishing, painting, replacement of flooring and artwork and equipment in the 14-room, 18-bed pediatric wing.
